SKIPEDIA

Many thanks to Iain Martin from the Ski Podcast (also SkiFlightFree and Skipedia) for his video report (shown below) when taking a luxury 9-seat touring van on a family ski holiday to Les Deux Alpes. Iain also provided a case study, on his SkiFlightFree website, that provides a summary and costings for the same journey and also calculates the carbon emissions generated when compared to air travel. For Iain's group of 9 persons, he calculated that, 'there is a significant saving travelling in a van, with a carbon footprint per person equivalent to just 25% of the amount generated by flying'.

Iain also travelled in a 9-seat luxury touring van on another trip to Tignes, and many of the photos on this website are from those trips and we thank him and the participants for allowing their use. Full details of the case study can seen following this link. Click here. Once again, many thanks to Iain and his crew.
